Deep Reinforcement Learning Goalkeeper

Playing with reinforcement learning libraries (1, 2) to control a humanoid in the mujoco simulator as a goalkeeper.

Thesis project: visual-servoing for object grasping
2020
Developed an object grasping system for a domestic mobile robot. Objects are detected by a CNN neural network, and visual-servoing is used to make the controller robust to calibration errors of both camera and arm joints.

Autonomous car competition
2019
Part of a team developing an autonomous RC car for a competition. We used an end-to-end neural network for driving which learns from human controls, and trained a CNN classifier for traffic sign detection.

Robotics benchmarking and SocRob team
2019
Under a research grant, implemented robotic benchmarks for European Robotics League competitions, and for eurobench - a proposal for bipedal robot testing facilities.
I was also part of the SocRob team in ISR Lisbon, working on a domestic robot to help elderly and low-mobility people. Our team took part in competitions for domestic robots.
